Cris and John thank their employees and their customers for their help in achieving and surpassing their goals to provide the best service possible. Your support of their business has been crucial to their success and it is greatly appreciated.

A Street Automotive is currently a "state of the art" repair facility with a current staff of over twenty.

The following is a brief overview of how A Street Automotive came to be. Cris Kuhnhausen and John Kimpton are both graduates of Northern Montana College in Havre Montana. In July of 1988, two college buddies opened a small two-man shop in Springfield. After four months they had already outgrown the first location so the shop was moved to a much bigger location at South A Street in Springfield. By this time, the business was growing by leaps and bounds. Working way too many hours, Cris and John were forced to add staff and implement a makeshift management plan. Business went along much smoother and grew.

In 1992 Cris and John had the opportunity to add a collision repair facility to their general automotive repair business. Muscle car restoration had always been a hobby for Cris and John so they leaped into the collision business. The shop name was modified from A Street Automotive Specialists, Inc. to A Street Automotive & Collision. The next few years held many technical and management challenges. A Street quickly realized how completely separate the auto repair and collision repair industries really are. In 1994 Cris and John moved to their current location, a single building featuring 10,500 square feet of working space. The move to a building that size was considered a financially risky venture at that time, but also a "do or die" move.

A Street put together a facility where both shops could operate ergonomically under one roof. This adventure proved to be one of the best business decisions made, due to the Main Street location, appearance and the sound business practices of Cris and John and their extremely qualified staff. A Street grew substantially in the first year on Main Street and continues to upgrade the value of services to all customers.
