The fuels available for use in today´s automobiles are treated to prevent carbon build
up and other problems. Even with this treatment, after twenty or thirty thousand
miles heavy carbon will build up. There are many things that carbon will cause in
your engine and none of them are productive. Ultimately, lost power, lower efficiency and
poor driveability will result.
At A Street Automotive & Collision we use the Motor Vac Fuel Injection & Engine Cleaner
(MVFI&EC, or Muffy for short) to fight the war on carbon. The Motor Vac is not only
a fuel injection cleaner but a complete Engine Decarbonizer. As the Motor Vac circulates a special solution and gasoline mix through the fuel rails, the fuel injection
system is cleaned from the inside out and foreign particles are filtered out. During
the cleaning process all carbon is impregnated with Motor Vac Solution. The carbon
naturally breaks down and burns in the combustion process.
A separate throttle body and intake plenum spray follow the decarbonizing and the
result is restored injector spray pattern and a clean engine from intake to exhaust.
