The Sikkens Paint Mix It System

Avid newsletter readers already know how hard A Street Automotive and Collision works at recycling and upholding a green shop status. In the interest of our environment and business we have added a new computerized paint mixing system to the Collision Shop.

The Sikkens Mix It System is a very sophisticated computer and software package that has many advantages over our previous mechanical paint mixing system. The biggest advantage is the Mix Its ability to provide paint mixing formulas in very small quantities. The smallest quantity that is available with most mechanical mixing systems is a pint.

Many times an automobile spot repair will require far less than a pint of paint. The leftover paint goes into a hazardous waste barrel. Not only does the Mix It System cut down on waste but it also has these advantages: decreased paint mixing times, more precise and up to date color matches, many record-keeping functions and material cost savings.

Overall the Mix It System makes better paint matches, lowers cost, and insures less waste. This is a definite plus for consumers and the environment.
