A Street Automotive & Collision works hard to keep a "Green Shop" status. This simply means that we recycle as much as possible and keep waste products to a minimum.

We recycle:

Oil

Oil filters

Batteries

R-12 Freon

Antifreeze

Solvent

Cardboard

Metal products of all kinds

And a lot more.

The one thing that we have yet to find is a recycling source for plastic parts that are removed and discarded from collision jobs. These discarded plastics include plastic bumper covers, grills, and inner fender skirts.

We have found a source that picks up about 10% of our lightly damaged bumper covers for remanufacturing, but we're still left with a large pile of plastic parts that must be sent to the landfill.

There are several different kinds of plastics used on automotive products and we would be willing to sort them out if we had a source for recycling.
