Tips On Using Your A/C´s Defrost Mode

Running your vehicle´s heating system in the defrost mode is great first thing in the morning but it is costly if you leave it there while you are on trips. With the A/C compressor engaged the engine is consuming more fuel and the A/C system is receiving unnecessary wear and tear.

The solution for this is to run the heater system in the economy or regular heat mode. You may not be able to do this if your windows won´t stay clear without the defroster.

On most days regular heat mode will work fine and you can take advantage of the savings.
