THE CLEAR FACTS ON AUTO GLASS

Advances in Unibody Technology and Design
Have Placed New Demands on the Windshield

The function of the windshield in a modern automobile is not quite as clear as it used to be. Advances in unibody technology and design have placed new demands on the windshield as well as the rest of the encapsulated glass (glass that is stationary, glued in).

Windshields have become not only a clear barrier between the elements and the occupants of the vehicle but also a structural component of the unibody. When properly installed to manu-facturer´s specifications the windshield will remain strong yet flexible during everyday driving. In the event of a collision the windshield must work with the unibody crumple zones to direct the impact around the driver´s compartment. This is how modern day automobiles have been able to minimize the harm to the occupants of the vehicle.

With this in mind you can realize how important it is to have quality glass installed using factory approved materials and techniques. Improperly installed glass could fail you when you need it the most. Wet floorboards and constant moisture inside your vehicle could be the sign of an improperly installed auto glass. If this problem occurred after the window was installed then you should take it back and have it checked out soon. Any reputable glass installer will warranty leakage for the life of the vehicle.

You should also recognize that a cracked or damaged window may not uphold the structural integrity of the unibody in an impact situation. In any case our business is expertly restoring factory collision integrity to every vehicle that we repair.

Glass installation is a daily routine here at A Street. We will not just replace your glass if needed; we will restore your vehicleÕs structural integrity.
We welcome your feedback on these features.
